Musicians hailing from 18 different countries and 16 Indian states will gather in Bengaluru for the Brillante Piano Festival organized by Chokkapan S. The sense of community in Bengaluru is strong, embracing various forms of arts and culture, as noted by Naga pianist Khyochano TCK, the driving force behind bringing the festival to the city. The event aims to unite musicians from around the world with a shared purpose and vision, highlighting Bengaluru's vibrant cultural landscape as the perfect backdrop. Initially launched in 2017 in Kohima, Nagaland, this festival will showcase performances, workshops, competitions, and masterclasses in genres like jazz, contemporary, and classical music. The festival also includes a platform for Specially Abled Musicians (SAM), emphasizing inclusivity and admiration for talented individuals. Prior to the festival, a street piano event was held on Church Street, illustrating the spirit of communal engagement through music and the transformative power of creative expression as a means to connect diverse communities.
